Yesterday madness paid me a visit

We had a cup of tea

And two slices each

Of that nice orange and chocolate cake

We had a good laugh

And all the afternoon

Was filled with noise

The nigh came

And she excused herself

I guess even madness needs to sleep.

And so here I am

Lucid again

Deaf by the absurd silence

Aware of the prison bars

Doubting

Whether they are in

Or out…
